Jens Quorning is a professional boat builder and CEO of Quorning Boats. With over 45 years of experience in multihull design, construction, and manufacturing. Having started his apprenticeship at the family-owned Quorning Boats in 1978 under the guidance of his father, Børge, Jens has been deeply involved in the company since its founding in 1967.

Jens became the sole owner of Quorning Boats in 1996, after years of financial involvement and hands-on leadership. He oversees sales, design, and the development of new boats, ensuring every vessel leaving the yard undergoes meticulous quality control.

A passionate sailor, Jens has been actively involved in the sailing world since 1975. After completing his apprenticeship, he worked in the USA for renowned designer Dick Newick, an experience that influenced his innovative approach at Quorning Boats. Jens also sailed the legendary Newick trimaran “Rouge Wave” from the USA to Europe, gaining invaluable experience in blue water sailing.

In 1981, at just 19, Jens built his first 35-foot trimaran, “Quick Step,” and went on to set numerous sailing records in Denmark, including the Round Seeland record with his brother Eric in 1983—a feat that held for 25 years. His extensive sailing resume includes crossings from Los Angeles to Hawaii and the Atlantic, along with national and international racing achievements.
