Dragonfly 1000 Swing Wing was built between 1991 – 2002. In total 42 boats built.

The high performance fractional rig and high buoyancy amas combine to produce ultra responsive control and power, while providing exemplary stability and speed. Cruising speeds climb as high as 20 knots while maintaining a maximum healing angle of 10° only.

EXTERIOR LAYOUT

The boat is originally equipped with full-battened mainsail and roller-furling Mylar jib by Elvström Sails. The centerboard and kick-up rudder reduces the draft to 0.55 m only – making shallow ports easily accessible.

Ingeniously laid out for single-handed sailing, an elegant Whitlok steering wheel graces the roomy teak-trimmed cockpit with all halyards, control lines and reefing pendants led aft.

Originally, the boat is equipped with the best quality Danish deck gearl, including Andersen winches, a custom-designed mainsheet and battencar systems by Frederiksen. All lines across the cabin roof top are enclosed, giving the Dragonfly 1000 a sleek elegant appeal.

In two minutes, the Swing Wing system reduces the beam from 7.60 m to 3.80 m – making the boat easy to dock and maneuver.

Every aspect of your comfort is taken into consideration with a generous spacious interior that foremost provides a livable boat – functional and creative.

The Dragonfly 1000 offers 1.85 m standing headroom. A large forward cabin complimented with Danish quality furnishing and separate head withe pressurized hot and cold water contribute to spending long periods of time onboard the Dragonfly 1000. A fully equipped galley graced with exquisite teak cabinetry is high-lighted by a wide and clear companionway. Ingenious little nooks are used to give extra stowage, whereas efficient halogen lamps are positioned for soft reflective lightning. A teak salon table offers dining for eight good appetisers. The table also folds down to allow easy passage.
