Available in two versions
The Dragonfly 28 Touring is the standard version with 12 m aluminium mast. The Performance version comes with a 13.5 m carbon mast, more powerful sails and features high volume wave piercing floats.
Centre hull, beams and trampolines are the same, and both Dragonfly 28 come with high-tech Elvström Technology sails.
Foldable & Trailable
The Dragonfly 28 is a foldable and trailable 28 ft trimaran, that provides you with all the benefits and features from a trimaran on the water – allowing speeds up to 22+ knots, shallow draft and high comfort while sailing, as the boat is barely heeling.
On the trailer you can average 45 knots – launch and rig the boat yourself with a set-up time of 40 minutes. This boat offers you independence. You can launch and rig the boat without paying for lifts and you can cruise for a weekend, a week or even a season wherever you like, delivering and collecting the boat by road.
Sail Handling
The Dragonfly 28 is easy to helm at all times.
Sailing in light winds is fantastic. Set the bowsprit, unfurl the Code-0 or set the asymmetric spinnaker, and you will be sailing as fast as the true wind. You rarely motor with these boats. Gybing is easy as the boat is stable, and sailing with the spinnaker is a real pleasure, even singlehanded.
The Dragonfly 28 is a fantastic boat for cruising with family and friends. Plenty of deck space due to the two large trampolines, upright sailing and huge stability. Easy to helm, even a kid can helm the boat as the tiller is always in full balance. For racing you don’t need a big crew, and often the boats are sailed singlehanded. Even for a short sail, just let the mooring lines go.
Comfortable and fast
The cockpit is spacious, safe and user-friendly. All lines are led back to the cockpit for easy and safe control. Upwind the boat tacks easily, like a dinghy. The Honda outboard engine is a 15 HP
with electric start and electric tilt. Basically, like operating an inboard engine with even better maneuverability.
The furling Genoa and the lazy jack system for the mainsail allows you to leave the boat sail-ready in the harbor. The Dragonfly 28 is offered with sprayhood, cockpit tent and bimini for additional shelter.
Anchoring
The Dragonfly 28 is equipped with automatic kick-up rudder and
centerboard, the hull draft is when the board is folded up only 40 cm.
Visit your favorite beach or anchorage with shallow water, where no one else can go.
Take a swim, relax and let the kids play. Nothing else beats this freedom.
