Since 2002, our Dragonflys have been designed in a cooperation between Jens Quorning and Senior Naval Architect and Yacht Designer, Steen Olsen.
In 2005 a new era began for Quorning Boat in the cooperation between Jens Quorning and Steen Olsen – introducing 3D design to the development of our Dragonfly Trimarans.
Steen Olsen is sole owner of Olsen Design and is playing an important role in the the design and calculations on the newer Dragonfly models, since the introduction of the Dragonfly 35, in close cooperation with Quorning Boats.
Steen has more than 20 years of experience in the boat area, has done folding propellers, hatches and optimized rig details to Americas Cup.
Steen enjoys sailing – especially Dragonfly Trimarans – and was overall winner around Fyn 2011 for multihulls, and completed The Silver Rudder 2012, single hand around Fyn in the time 18:18 onboard his own Dragonfly 920.
