Dragonfly 36

Construction

The DRAGONFLY 36 steps into a new era in construction and design at Quorning Boats in Denmark, where more composite engineering is implemented in the structural design.

Many fine element calculations backed up with physical strength tests to ensure a stronger and homogeneous construction by also using more infusion and complex tooling for the composite parts. All this to optimize production, weight, strength, lifetime and maintenance and at the end also for lower costs.

The Dragonfly 36 has been over 2 years in development and is a high tech quality construction in all details.

Helm Station

A spacious dual-zone cockpit, designed for relaxation and functionality. Enjoy real comfortable seating in the forward area while all control lines for effortless managing are led aft to four electric winches placed by the twin helm wheels. A layout ensuring that every maneuver is within reach, enhancing your cruising experience.

Each wheel pedestal is designed to accommodate up to a 12” GPS plotter, along with additional navigation displays. You will also find dedicated space for bow thruster and windlass control panels, ensuring a seamless sailing experience.

Above the companionway, there’s generous room for navigation displays up to 7” in size, keeping all your vital information easily Accessible for all onboard.

Swing Wing System

The unique and revolutionary Dragonfly Swing Wing system reduces the 8.12 m beam to only 3.7 m in seconds, using no tools.

The DRAGONFLY 36 introduces for the first time an all-composite high-tech construction, making the Dragonfly Swing Wing system simpler, lighter, stronger and easier to maintain.

Sail Handling

Equipped with a fixed bowsprit, the DRAGONFLY 36 ensures easy use of downwind sails—like the optional fixed Code-0 which makes sailing easier, more fun, and faster.—Enhancing your performance on the water. It also simplifies anchoring, making each stop along your journey elegant and effortless.

Our kick-up rudder and centerboard system allows you to let the boat dry
out or beach it with ease, but also providing peace of mind by preventing
impact damage while sailing.

The strategic placement of the sail drive and
dual-blade propeller further protects your boat, ensuring it rests securely on
the lowest part of the center hull when drying out.

Anchoring

A stainless steel anchor bracket can be nicely integrated in the fixed bowsprit together with an anchor. From the anchor locker it is easy to drop or weigh the anchor.

With only 65 cm draft, every anchor spot will welcome you as well. The DRAGONFLY 36 offers an extremely stabile platform at anchor and the two trampolines provides plenty of extra m² and are designed together with the deck level, so walking around the boat when folded out feels natural.

When it’s time to cool off, simply jump in from the open stern. A convenient
bathing ladder is located on the starboard float, allowing for easy
reboarding after your swim.

Storage

Each float has plenty of storage room for extra sails, an inflatable dinghy, outboard engine etc.. The storage is easy accessible from the standard forward hatch or the optional aft hatch.

In the cockpit you will also find plenty of storage behind the forward long backrest or in the cockpit locker on port side.
